I bring over 25 years of experience as a school social worker and consider it an honor to continue my work as a therapist with Elevate Healing Collective. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. My goal is to help individuals grow into the best possible version of themselves.

I believe that good mental health is one of the foundations for living a healthy and fulfilling life, and that any time spent caring for emotional well-being is a worthwhile investment. My approach to therapy is rooted in encouragement, empowerment, positivity, and hope, helping clients develop a healthy growth mindset. I value active listening and validation as essential tools for uncovering core issues, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that is built on trust, mutual respect, confidentiality, and a non-judgmental presence.

I work collaboratively with my clients to develop meaningful, realistic, and mutually agreed-upon treatment goals. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, client-centered, and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), always tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs.

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults, and specialize in:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Anger management and emotional awareness and regulation

  • Trauma

  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

  • Grief and loss

  • Divorce

  • Parenting guidance

  • ADHD

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy traveling, spending winters in Florida, playing pickleball, e-biking, and a good game of Euchre. I also value spending quality time with my husband and our two adult children.

I believe in practicing the same self-care strategies I encourage in others. My preferred coping and relaxation activities include mindfulness, walks with my dog Ivy, beach walks collecting shells and beach glass, bonfires, and regular exercise.

I find inspiration in reminders such as:

  • Sometimes you have to let go of what you thought life would be like and learn to find joy in the story you are actually living.

  • Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles; it takes away today’s peace.

  • Your mind is a powerful thing—when you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will begin to change.

Clients accepted: children, adolescents, young adults and parents

I specialize in:

  • Teens & Young Adults

The teen and young adult years are filled with rapid change, pressure, and identity development. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore emotions, relationships, self-esteem, academic or career stress, and life direction without judgment. The focus is on building coping skills, strengthening self-understanding, and increasing confidence so young people can make healthier choices and move toward adulthood with greater clarity and resilience.

  • Emotional Awareness & Regulation

Many people were never taught how to fully understand or manage their emotions. This work focuses on recognizing emotional patterns, increasing self-awareness, and learning practical tools to regulate stress, anxiety, anger, and overwhelm. By developing a stronger connection between thoughts, feelings, and responses, clients gain more choice in how they react and experience greater steadiness, balance, and emotional freedom in daily life.

  • Parenting Support

I provide compassionate guidance to help you navigate the challenges of raising children while supporting your family’s emotional well-being and relationships. Using evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to create a nurturing, respectful environment where children can thrive. Whether you’re managing challenging behaviors, strengthening connection, or fostering emotional regulation, I offer personalized strategies to improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and build resilience for both parents and children.
