I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most meaningful and difficult transitions. Originally from Chicago (go Cubs!), I’ve lived in this area for the past 20 years. I’m the mother of two adult daughters and a newlywed, and my personal journey—like my professional one—has been shaped by change, resilience, and growth.

Much of my career was spent as a school social worker, where I developed a deep understanding of children’s emotional needs and a passion for helping parents navigate complex systems, access resources, and advocate for their families. I also have extensive experience supporting families impacted by substance use and recovery, as well as specialized training in the identification and treatment of child abuse, including sexual abuse.

I bring particular expertise to working with women and couples who have experienced traumatic birth, pregnancy loss, infertility, and perinatal mood disorders. Additionally, I offer both professional and lived experience in supporting individuals navigating divorce, co-parenting, and blended families. I’m especially drawn to working with women in transition—those redefining themselves as children become more independent, caring for aging parents, or stepping into a new season of life.

Why I do this work:

I believe people are not broken—they are often carrying patterns, pain, or roles that once helped them survive but no longer allow them to thrive. My work is about helping people reconnect with their inner wisdom, loosen what no longer fits, and create space for hope, freedom, and possibility.

My therapy style is conversational, relaxed, and collaborative. There is room for laughter alongside deep work. I often offer gentle “homework” such as reflection, writing, or learning more about a topic, because meaningful change happens both inside and outside the therapy room. Music, movement, nature, art, and play are all welcome parts of the healing process.

I work from a Family Systems perspective and a trauma-informed lens, and I am specifically trained in the Resilient Birth protocol.

Clients accepted: adults 18 and older, couples, families

I specialize in:

  • Life Transitions

Life transitions can feel disorienting, even when they’re positive or expected. Whether you’re adjusting to a new role, relationship, family stage, or identity shift, therapy provides space to slow down, reflect, and move forward with intention. Together we work to reduce overwhelm, strengthen resilience, and help you step into your next chapter with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.

  • Infertility & Loss

Experiences of infertility, pregnancy loss, or traumatic birth can carry deep grief that is often unseen by others. Therapy offers compassionate, specialized support to process loss, hold complex emotions, and reduce the sense of isolation that can follow. The goal is not to rush healing, but to honor your experience while gently rebuilding steadiness, connection, and hope.

  • Divorce & Co-Parenting

Divorce and co-parenting transitions can bring emotional strain, uncertainty, and conflict. Therapy helps you process the personal impact of separation while developing practical tools for communication, boundaries, and child-focused decision-making. The work centers on healing, stability, and creating healthier paths forward for both you and your family.
